The Customers goal was to interconnect the networks of two offices. The problem was that several buildings blocked the line of sight (LOS) despite the short distance between both offices (1,2 km).

Competitors solutions

  • Using microwave solution 7GHz;

    This Option makes it possible to reach a link between two radios. Main drawback: the necessity of additional repeaters. Although the implementation of extra equipment provides high capacity, it leads to high CAPEX and OPEX. This option wasn't accepted.

  • Using Satellite;

    Figure 4.

    The satellite-link communication renders possible the link and needed data transmission. The Disadvantages of this option are very low capacity and very high CAPEX and high OPEX. This option wasn't accepted.

Youncta's solution

The best solution is to use Y-HAUL.

The PtP wireless communication system. This equipment provides data transmission with a capacity of 18~20 Mbps and lowest OPEX.

  • Frequency range: 300-700 MHz;
  • QPSK to 64QAM for longer hops and/or increased capacity;
  • Different channel bandwidth: 1.75-12 MHz;
  • Fast Ethernet for Y-Haul TDD and Fast Ethernet plus E1 for Y-Haul FDD Interfaces available.

  • Carrier class corporate customers;
  • Public services for Government remote zones;
  • NLOS links with high capacity;
  • And many more.

.... avoid high Capex:

  • Using repeaters with microwave regular solution;
  • Using low capacity with UHF low frequencies;
  • Using low capacity with expensive satellite services;
  • And more.

.... avoid high Opex:

  • Using many units to control;
  • Using complex low frequencies to deploy, operate and maintain spare;
  • Using services when you don't have the full control.
